FoodFeed: How To Friend Your Groceries With $200M

May 6th, 2008 Posted in Australia, Facebook, Social Media, Web

The Australian Financial Review has an article running titled Woolworths checks out Facebook.

Woolworths in one of the coutry’s largest retail giants with stores nationwide. While the article doesn’t divulge much detail, its premise is that the company is planning on applying social media principles to the roll out of a range of new Internet shopping services.

It would be interesting to know what percentage of their $200M annual information systems budget is being applied to this.

A heads up guys: you don’t need to spend big to achieve big in the social media arena.
